College Class
Looking for a home away from home?
Midway Baptist Church invites you to the College Class on Sunday mornings at 10am.
The class is small, relational, informal, very discussion oriented and a place for young people to explore the depths of their faith in the company of others who are in a similar place in life. In the class, students are given the freedom and safety to wrestle with the challenges, doubts, fears and questions they face in everyday life. There is less of an emphasis on learning new information and more of a focus on understanding how our Christianity shapes us.
Bonus: There is no required reading. Life is your preparation so all you have to do is show up and be yourself.
This class is led by Johnny Sears, who previously served on staff as Youth Minister and now serving as Deacon. He has a passion for the areas of prayer and spiritual formation, ecumenical dialogue and institutional church renewal. Johnny is a graduate of the 2 year Academy for Spiritual Formation and leads retreats for the Merton Institute for Contemplative Living. He lives in Versailles with his wife and two sons and works as an engineer at Lexmark International.
