Children

We're at our best when we are "forming children and youth in the way of Christ." Children's Minister Andrea Ball and our children's team lead this remarkable ministry.

Getting off the merry-go-round

Children's Sunday School

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 for children's Sunday School. We have classes for preschoolers, grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5—as well as the rest of the family.

Children's Worship

Our 11 o'clock worship service is relaxed and upbeat. Children are everywhere, even onstage. Just before the offering, we invite children through grade 2 to Children's Worship—a teaching experience just for them. It's optional, of course. Many children, even babies, stay in the sanctuary, which is fine with us.

Once a month, we also provide a Children's Worship experience for children in grades 3-5. The other Sundays, children in those grades stay in the sanctuary, facilitating the transition to a higher developmental level of worship. Watch the Sunday bulletin for when these special Children's Worship experiences are scheduled.

Children's Missions

On Wednesday evenings we offer children's missions. We start at 6:45 PM and wrap it up at 7:30 PM. There's also an optional extended session till 8:00 for parents involved in ESL, GED, or small groups that last until that time. For additional information about this program, see our kids mission page.

Camps and Special Activities

Vacation Bible School

Watch the video below for highlights of last summer's VBS at MBC, Group's PowerLab:

PASSPORTkids! Summer Camp

Children who have completed grades 3-6 are invited to join us for PASSPORTkids!, a four-day, three-night missions camp especially for kids! We attend the Crossville, Tennessee location, a beautiful site with a giant swimming pool, giant inflatables, kayaking and canoeing, fishing, basketball, ga-ga ball, and much, much more.

We're already looking ahead to the summer of 2009! Spaces fill fast. Don't wait too late!

Other Activities

Watch our publications for children's events throughout the year—an Easter egg hunt in the spring, a summer swim party, Trunk-or-Treat in the fall, a children's Christmas party, and much, much more!
